Jolene Friesen

Jolene (Steegstra) Friesen spent the first 10 years of her life in the city of Revelstoke, a pioneer city located in the Rocky Mountains. In 1980 her parents moved to the city of Calgary where she attended the Glenmore Christian Academy till grade 10. She graduated high school with honours.

After traveling to China and Europe she enrolled at the university of Calgary, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree. She then moved to Langley to undertake the Masters Program in Counseling Psychology, where she obtained exceptionally high marks.

After a brief period stay as a staff counselor at Trinity Western she took a position with TELUS Mobility, where her employers took advantage of her extraordinary skills giving her difficult assignments dealing with special customer related problems.

During her years at TELUS, she met her husband, Bob Friesen. His experience in sales led to his current appointment as the Advertising Sales Manager at Christian Info Society, a newspaper that is provided without charge to churches in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.

In 2002 her father, Louis Steegstra, offered her a partnership in his expanding Insurance Agency, Parity Agencies Ltd. She accepted this offer and became the Executive Administrator of the fast growing company.

Her background in Psychology, Human Resources, and problem solving for customers quickly advanced her understanding of employee benefits and today she is recognized in both the industry and among her clients as a gifted and qualified specialist in the marketplace. She is a member of the Independent Financial Brokers of Canada and continues to expand her knowledge and education in the industry. Under her direction the Employee Benefit division of Parity Agencies Ltd continues to grow at a rapid pace.

Jolene and Bob Friesen (and their pet dog Jireh) reside in the Langley area. They both enjoy gardening. They attend a local church and also sponsor a weekly care group in their home.

Jolene was recently appointed director of Parity Agencies Ltd and the company looks forward to continue sharing her extraordinary talents with its current and future clientele.
